I HAVE IT DEEP IN MY HEART THAT I HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL AS A BASKETBALL PLAYER. Everybody says that. I’m really very tall for my age. I have in my arsenal the moves of a basketball player. What literally counts most is, I have the shooting touch to go with the moves. I have this nice touch from the outside helping me hit the hoops with unerring accuracy. Every game, I find myself being the top scorer or sharing scoring honors. They contest over who I will play with during pick-up games. I am a member of our community’s basketball team. However, I have higher aims in my basketball career. I am aiming to be a member of our school’s varsity team. There is one nagging problem. My weight. You heard right. I am overweight. Not to mention being extremely big in the middle. Not a very exciting prospect for a coach. I need to know the proper exercises to lose weight quickly. The competition is very stiff. There are many students trying out. I can see that many are good. With the good quality of the applicants, the tryout is really very demanding. I need to be at my best.
It’s really a must-must situation. really need to go into exercises to lose weight quickly. That is if I want to strengthen my chances of being selected. If not, then I can kiss my chances goodbye. By far, there are many good players in the tryout. So in preparation, I started exercising many months in advance. Slowly at first lest I ran the risk of injury. I started jogging in the morning. Then, I teamed it up with calisthenics and limbering exercises. I can feel the change build up for me. During practices, I don’t get tired fast. My resistance is finally building up. So far, so good. What I really need to concentrate more is to trim my waist line. This will really give me the edge and a great chance of making the team. As much as possible, I go to the gym every other day. I included aerobics in my routine. I also ventured into lifting weights. It does firm up the muscles.
To make up for lost time, I also did the Pilate exercise to speed up my exercises to lose weight quickly. This wonderful method had helped speed up the trimming of my waistline. For a long time already, it is a very effective and safe method of exercise. You can get a flexible body and a flat abdomen with the Pilate routines. It increases your metabolism and thus burn the calories. I’m feeling more stronger and have renewed confidence in myself. Keeping my fingers crossed but I have a good feeling I will make the team.
