What is gluten allergy?
This is a condition wherein the individual has allergies on gluten-rich foods. People with gluten allergy may experience several discomforts and problems in their gastrointestinal tract. Anybody can have gluten sensitivity or intolerance. Glutenin and gliadin are two protein substances that comprises gluten. These can be found in oats, barley, rye, and wheat.

People who are affected with the condition can experience several manifestations of problems in the gastrointestinal tract. Gluten are not easily absorbed in the small intestines because that lining itself cannot bear or absorb it. There would be irritation in the area, and this may vary from mild, moderate, or severe. Gluten normally has an effect on the finger like projections of the small intestines, known as villi.
Continuous and severe damage in intestinal lining or the villi could eventually have an effect on the absorption of essential nutrients including minerals and vitamins. On the other hand, if the patient did not take any course of action to treat gluten allergy, he or she may have celiac disease. Celiac disease is characterized by damaged lining of the intestines due to gluten consumption and compensation of the immune system to the allergy. People with celiac disease could not tolerate gluten, and so they need to follow a strict gluten free diet. Among the reason why people are having gluten allergy is its because of severe body disease, physical injuries, traumatic shock, and hereditary.
What are gluten allergy symptoms? There are different gluten allergy symptoms, and these could differ from person to person. Even mild gluten allergy could be asymptomatic. If the signs and symptoms are present, they could either appear right away after the consumption of foods with gluten or several hours after eating gluten. Following are a few of the common gluten allergy or symptoms.
