If you can take a moment or two to get control of your breathing you will be able to continue on in public and your panic attack should cease to exist. The best place for you to take control of you panic attack may be a public restroom. I find this is an excellent place to get a little privacy, and there is a place to sit, allowing you time to calm down.

Panic attacks can take over your life and if you don’t find away to deal with them it could cause major issues. I try and take time out as often as possible to catch my breath. I also use a controlled breathing technique that allows me to recover quickly. Once I realized that I was not alone, I was able to open up and share with others. I found great comfort in panic attack support groups and message boards online. I have even found a couple of people who I talk to on a regular basis. This is the best advice I can give to some one who is suffering from panic attacks. Before you know it, your panic attacks will disappear.
