To get started, get a beach ball that you can use to execute some aerobics workouts while deep in the water. Beginners can start with 30 seconds per routine. The time required to complete the routine goes longer to 45 and 60 seconds for more advanced levels. The target muscles are abs, butts, hamstrings, back, legs and arms for these routines.
1. Hug the ball and then float on your back in preparation for the otter roll. Roll over the ball to the left using the whole body from the shoulders to the legs until a complete revolution is made.
2. Do the K-Tread in the deep end of the pool where you can tread water. Make small circles with your cupped hands while lifting the right leg straight up front for 5 counts. Do this alternately on the two legs.
3. Do the pike Scull on the shallow end of the pool. Sit into the water while treading using hands by hips. Raise the legs above the water, make the body and legs in a wide V position. Scull or move forward down the length of the pool.
